We seem have an infatuation with the surface. We believe it, we trust it and I wonder if we should. Are you familiar with the word physiognomy? I'm fascinated with this idea and implications of it. Do you have any thoughts on it?
What is it that the "surface" is saying to us? Are we trying to show our personal identity when we “present” ourselves or do we "manufacture" a persona, a social identity?
